Arms Wide Open

The most rewarding thing I have ever done in my life is choosing to pursue a personal, loving relationship with Jesus.  He is my best friend, my closest confidant and my redeemer.

I am growing everyday in his love, mercy and grace and am continually reminded of just how very much I need his redemptive hand in mine.

I want you to know that I am praying for you. I pray that if you don’t have a personal relationship with Jesus, that you would be open to hearing him calling to you. He loves you so much and wants to know you and shower you with his love and joy. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, how bad you feel you’ve messed up; there is NOTHING you can do that can change his love for you. Look what the bible has to say about this:

Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his unlimited patience as an example for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life.
—1 Timothy 1:15-16

If you feel a stirring in your heart and want to learn more about Jesus I strongly encourage you to open up a bible and see what you can find in there. Start in John, Chapter 1 if you don’t know where to start. God wants to meet you where you are and show you how much he cares about your life, what you are going through and offer you a hand to hold through it all. As Jesus so wonderfully put it:

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."
-Matthew 11:28-30 (The Message)

All that the Lord requires of us to enter into relationship with him is this: that we recognize that we are sinners, we believe God is the only road to salvation and that we believe he sent his son to die on the cross for our sins, and that he rose again.

That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved
