Hi! My name is Angela. I started this blog to share my family’s journey to whole, natural living and eating. We have chosen to embrace this lifestyle in order to help heal our bodies. I am gluten and dairy intolerant. I also struggle with poor digestion. My husband is allergic to dairy and soy. He has also been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. We also believe that eating whole natural foods is God’s best design for our bodies and our overall health.
To better understand my story, lets take it back a notch.
I was born in Seattle, WA to two wonderful parents and an older brother. My parents were both raised in Christian homes, and ours was no different. My family was very involved in our church growing up. It seemed like we were there every day of the week! While this not only brought me dozens of life long friends and memories, it also blessed me with a real glimpse into what our Heavenly Father is like. I have always had an unwavering trust and relationship with the Lord. This doesn’t mean I haven’t made my fair share of mistakes or have never felt far from the Lord, but I have always known that the minute I was ready, He would be waiting with arms wide open to welcome me back.
My faith in the Lord laid the foundation for the beginning of my adult life (I’m still in this beginning!) When I was 22 years old, after a string of less than desirable boyfriends, I decided to lay down my relationships with men to pursue a closer relationship with the Lord. During this time, I allowed the Lord to work in my life, to change my view on relationships and to trust that when the Lord though I was ready, he would bring the perfect man along for me.
It didn’t take long for the Lord to shower me with his love and bring a God-fearing, breath-taking, wonderful man into my life. Mike and I started talking in July of 2008 and by July of 2009, we were engaged! The Lord quickly showed both of us that we were meant to join together in marriage.
Since our marriage in the beginning of 2010, we have been striving towards total health for both of our bodies. We are working towards this by eating whole natural foods, as the Lord intended for us our bodies, exercising, spending time growing our relationship with the Lord and keeping ourselves well-adjusted (by means of Chiropractic adjustments and care).
I want to share in this journey with you. This blog will cover topics regarding whole natural food and recipes, to my relationship with the Lord and different health tips!
